Popeda is known to be one of Finlands Rock N' Roll dinosaurs. The band was founded back in 1977, which is 2 years before i was even born. First few years they were kinda punk rock but in the early 80's the sound turned more like melodic rock.
They were part of the performers on Wanaja Festival so I got the chance to commemorate part of Finnish rock history.
And all thought the bands musical style doesn't quite fit into my own musical affections, I must say that they played a solid show bringing a good rock n' roll show to the festival goers. And the people liked it as the whole front of the stage was packed!
So here it is, Popeda!
