Ok, so I promised You pics of the evening show later this week and, well, here they are!

One must take off his hat and bow deep for a band who deliver show with this much intensity, and fucking does it twice a day! Goddamn! I was fucking done after and all I did was wear 5+ kilos of camera gear, but these dudes, they go over the stage like freaking maniacs!

As long as Michael Monroe band is alive and kicking, Gene Simmons can shove his comments about rock being dead, deep down in his arse! He doesn't know jack shit about rock n roll with statements like that!

Rock n' roll is here, on stage, as Michael Monroe band!

Michael Monroe Live Tavastia, All Ages Show, 11.10.2014, Helsinki Finland

So on the 11th October it was time for my third & fourth Michael Monroe band's gigs for this year. 1st show was in Tampere, pictures from that show in here, 2nd show was at Wanaja Festival, pictures in here, and now it was time to demolish Tavastia Klubi here in Helsinki.

I've been shooting some bands there before and know the place kinda well, but there are always moving things when you're in between people with your equipment, so it never let's you go easy on it.

The first show was an all ages one, which I think is a great way to let younger audience to come and see a real rock n' roll show. And feel the atmosphere of a real rock club, too! Since most of the active fans, street teamers etc. are from younger generations I think this option should be available more. 

So as I contacted the Michael Monroe management about it, I asked to shoot both shows. And they let me do that! Thanks guys! It turned out to be a killer idea. See, Tavastia Klubi has this balcony up there on which one can get superb pictures and to my luck it wasn't open for public on the first gig and the restaurant manager granted me an access there all by myself!! So I got to be there completely all by myself. A rare occasion so that you can concentrate on shooting that much during show and not have to pass around drunks.... I was more than happy!

Michael Monroe Live Wanaja Festival, Hämeenlinna 18.7.2014

So the festival goes on and the first day turns into evening and it's time for the infamous Michael Monroe band to take the stage. I have to say that I got pretty exited on getting the chance of being able to take pictures of them in festival environment.

I've always liked this band a lot, from the start to this day. I remember reading the news when the reincarnation of Hanoi Rocks stated that they were disbanding and soon after Mike stated on starting a new band. I was so stoked that day and got even more excited when they announced the line up. Which of course have had few changed during the years now. But all in all, this is, to be honest, one of the most energetic, most honest, pure rock n' roll band out there these days.

I've seen this band live for over 10 times or more now during it's career. I've seen all the line ups there has been and i must admit that there really hasn't been a single show that would have not been full of rock n roll, straight in your face attitude. It has always been such a pleasure!

I am more than grateful of getting the chance of being able to take pictures of them doing what they do best. Play Rock N' Fuckin' Roll! It's challenging to succeed with a band that has this energetic show. But it's rewarding as well when You get that shot that shows You at least some of feeling that was there at the show.
